Today at the stock section of the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) the stocks of RBC Information Systems, a company that was the first among Russian companies to make a successful initial public offering on the Russian stock exchanges, were traded for the first time. According to the MICEX press service, on May 17 at 15:00, Moscow time, the total number of deals with RBC Information Systems stocks reached 13 with the amount of 1,254 shares. The low on RBC shares was RUR29.99, while the nominal price of the IPO at the MICEX was RUR25.86 per share. RBC Information Systems stocks were successfully placed on April 18, 2002 through open subscription at the stock exchange auction, where 16 million shares were put up for sale (around 16 per cent of the company's Charter Capital). The underwriter of the company's IPO was Aton, a member of MICEX.
