As supervisor of the Internet group of the Russian Economy Ministry Mikhail Dvorkovich reported to the Vremya MN newspaper, one of the lots of the tenders suggests the creation of a governmental gateway on the Internet. (This issue was described in detail in the issue of April 26.) Dvorkovich said that this project included an economic gateway of the Russian government, which would be a specialized information system. It will be launched in November, 2002. At the first stage, this gateway will combine the sites of the Russian Economy Ministry, the Center for Strategic Research and the Inform-VES state investment agency, and later - the sites of the Labor Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the Anti-Monopoly Ministry and other institutions of the financial and economic bloc of the government.

According to Dvorkovich, the economika.ru domain name is reserved for this gateway. Until June 26, the owner of this name is the RosBusinessConsulting agency. Its representatives neither confirmed nor refuted the further passing of the right for the name to the project of the government. However, Dvorkovich crossed all t's saying that there was an agreement with RBC, and the technical passing of the domain will take place gratis after the exchange of letters.
