Contest of new possibilities of telephony

The second international contest of applications for the integrated telephony Cisco Systems finished on April 15. The winners of the contest, which was held on the website www.bestidea.ru from November 2002 to April 2003, are the companies ABS (Kazakhstan), which submitted an application for building an up-to-date multifunctional system of digital telephony on the basis of the corporate IP networks, Sputnik Labs (Moscow) with its solution called integrated information reception and RBC Soft (Moscow) with the application for integrating CISCO IP phones with CRM applications from Siebel.

"The basic criterion of selecting a winner was the vitality of applications. That is why the jury chose the companies whose applications had been installed and were really functioning", Alexander Kozlenko, the manager for business development of Cisco Systems, pointed out.

On the whole, 14 companies from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Turkey took part in the contest of applications. The contest was aimed at attracting the attention of clients and partners of Cisco Systems to new possibilities of integrated telephony.
