IT leaders awarded
The first ceremony of the annual national award IT-Leader 2003 took place in Moscow. The winners of the award "For a considerable contribution in the development of information technologies in Russia" are Russian companies and enterprises, and their employees - CIOs (Chief Information Officers), who "have influenced the spread of the most up-to-date technologies directly, increased the efficiency of company activities, and improved the standards of living in society in general". Among the founders of the award are the CROC company and the RosBusinessConsulting group.
The list of awarded companies was compiled by an expert panel, which included General Director of the Market-Vislo research company, General Director of Microsoft in Russia Olga Dergunova, head of the Oracle office in the CIS Borish Shcherbakov, General Director of Hewlett-Packard in the CIS Hilmar Lorenz, General Director of Intel in Russia, Centarl Asia and Transcaucasia Alexey Navolokin, General Director of Cisco Systems in Central and Eastern Europe Robert Agee, and other heads of Russian offices of the IT market leaders and experts of the Russian market.
The award ceremony was followed by a bright festival, including a fashion show by Viktoria Adreyanova "The Popilation Census", a specially prepared performance by Andrey Bartenev "If I had a 1 meter 60 centimeter mouth", and a concert of the Va-Bank band.
