Vedomosti, 223 (Moscow) - December 4, 2003. Shareholders of RBC Information Systems gave a green light to amendments to the company's articles of association that stipulate the possibility to issue additional shares without calling for an extraordinary meeting of shareholders prior to the issue. According to amendments, the volume of the additional share issue may be up to 30 million shares. 100 million shares already exist. Chairman of the Board of Directors of RBC German Kaplun was quoted as saying that the company was negotiating possible acquisitions on the IT and media markets, but refused to specify the details. "In our opinion, plenty of (acquisition) opportunities will appear on the market following the elections," he added. Expectations in the media business are overestimated now due to the elections, but they will get back to reality afterwards, Mr. Kaplun stressed.
