Tribuna (Moscow), September 4, 2003 Business people will stick to the screen Yesterday, a new TV channel for business people was launched. Artyom Inyutin, the General Director of RBC TV (this is the name of the new channel), sees the middle class as its potential audience. In his opinion, this is 10 percent of the Russian population. RBC TV is expecting to attract up to 2 million viewers as its initial audience, which will grow to 7 million people in two years. As the channel's management points out, this is the part of the Russian population who earn one third of the total income in Russia. RBC TV will broadcast 24/7: from 7 a.m. until 1 a.m. original programs will be aired, and during the night they will be repeated. Business news programs are scheduled at the top and the middle of the hour. It is planned to broadcast economic analytical and documentary programs. In addition to own programs, the channel will broadcast CNN and CNBC news. Olga TARAKANOVA
