Delovaya Khronika (Business Chronicle) No. 5 (53), February 11-17, 2003
At the end of January the company Icebit, one of the largest suppliers of frozen food in Moscow, and RBC SOFT carried out the presentation of a new program. It is designed for automatic business management. "Thanks to this software product, our trade volume has surged by 40 percent over the past six months, and I have not employed anyone. We used to spend $50,000 annually to purchase paper and cartridges for printers. Now these expenses are minimal. Moreover, we are able to control our warehouse inventory in real time and we fulfill some 350 orders per day. This enables us to ship up to 100 tons of products", Icebit General Director Igor Smetanin declared at a joint news conference held with RBC. He pointed out that before the launching of the new system Icebit had been simply unable to implement all incoming orders, as there had not been enough personnel. The program costs from $15,000 to $50,000. According to RBC representatives, it depends on the complexity of work but not on the number of employees of an enterprise. Pavel Khitsky
