Struggling for benefit
The Russian shopping sector enjoys a period of rapid growth. The number of stores is increasing. In this all-absorbing struggle for new shopping premises and in the rustle of construction, trading companies have no time to think about the development of business technologies, and IT companies do not have a common opinion on this issue either.
Alexey Kuzovkin, General Director of RBC Soft reported, "We have introduced our solution in the IceBit trading company. Among its clients are the Perekriostok and Seventh Continent chain stores, suppliers Daria, Ravioli, Zvezdny and others. The aim of this introduction was a complete integrated automation of the company, including work with clients and suppliers, the management of accounts payable and receivable, stock control and so on. The methods we use include conducting surveys of a company, designing a system and then customizing."

Q: Do you think that ERP systems can be applied at trading businesses?
A: (Alexey Kuzovkin, RBC Soft) The aim of any automation is to increase income and achieve economic benefits. When we speak about the introduction of ERP systems, the issues of expedience and cost emerge. Trading companies meet their demand in separate modules, and the complete installation of such large solutions as SAP or BAAN is unlikely to be necessary. We approach this problem from the point of view of settling the exact problems of a customer, and any system should comply with the ideology of a particular company. That is why we developed RBC Trade, a special solution for trading companies.
