ROSBUSINESSCONSULTING
RBC TV's guests meet tiger

RBC TV business television has marked its first anniversary. A lavish reception was held in Gortiniy Dvor in this connection. RBC CEO Yury Rovensky personally met about 1,500 guests of the party, and before anything else, he introduced them to a tiger strolling around, "leased" from the Durov Theater of Animals. Kommersant's commentator Alyona Antonova sent the following report:

An Indian elephant was "pasturing" around the Zurab Tsereteli Arts Gallery last year. The staff of RBC TV, then celebrating the opening of Russia's first business television, painted the elephant and kept it outdoors for a few hours. This time, a large tiger was strolling around in Gostiniy Dvor, where RBC TV was celebrating its first anniversary. The animal looked peaceful, but the trainer was still leashing it just to make sure. The guests were told that the tiger from the Durov Theater had a good meal before the event.

All guests, including Arkadiy Dvorkovich, the head of the Expert Department of the President; Central Bank Senior Deputy Chairman Tatyana Paramonova; Viktor Gerashchenko, the chairman of the YUKOS Board of Directors; AFK Sistema CEO Vladimir Yevtushenkov; Grigoriy Yavlinskiy, the leader of the Yabloko party; Dmitriy Rogozin, the leader of the Rodina (Motherland) parliamentary group; David Yakobashvili, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Wimm-Bill-Dann JSC; Transneft President Semyon Vainshtok; and Moscow Senior Deputy Mayor Viktor Resin, were introduced to the tiger. Rather many creative people attended RBC's party: TV anchors: Vladimir Pozner, Larisa Verbitskaya, Yekaterina Andreyeva; Bolshoi Theater's first ballet dancer Svetlana Zakharova.

The appearance of Olympic sportspersons, Svetlana Khorkina and Alexey Nemov, in Gostiniy Dvor impressed the guests not less than the strolling tiger. Many noble and famous people wanted to be photographed together with them. The guests were moving over the huge floor of Gostiniy Dvor, divided into two sections. Sandwiches, tea and beer (brewer Oleg Tinkov, whose beer was offered, attended the party) were offered in the first section. Additionally, photographs showing episodes from RBC TV's life were also displayed there. Live broadcasting open to everyone was organized for the most vainglorious. 187 dinner tables for guests and a stage, where RBC TV's partners were presenting their greetings during the whole party, were located in the second section. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, who could not personally come to the party, made a special televised address. Congratulations were alternated with performances by soloists of the Bolshoi Theater and the Romeo and Juliet musical and a show of a collection of men's clothes by Patric Helmann. Valentin Yudashkin appeared on stage at the very end of the party to present his collection. A model wrapped in video film from head to toe was the hit of the show.
