RBC Group has announced the first issue of a monthly RBC business magazine. The edition will be available for sale from March 15. Its publishers say that the magazine will be geared mainly towards business owners and top managers. "We have expressed our interest in the print media market on numerous occasions," RBC's General Director Yuri Rovensky said. "We hope that the RBC magazine will not be our last project in this sphere. Nonetheless, as a company that deals primarily with business information, we decided to enter the market with a business publication." RBC's focus has always been on the development of electronic mass media, the company's head said, adding that the print edition would become yet another channel through which to communicate the colossal amount of business information RBC publishes daily. The new magazine's creators believe that it will be noteworthy for combining a wealth of information with a lightness of style and a depth of penetration into the issues it covers. The magazine's editor-in-chief is Pyotr Vlasov, who is also the editor-in-chief of the RBC Daily online newspaper. In charge of production and distribution of the magazine is an RBC subsidiary with Konstantin Ryasentsev as its General Director (formerly Commercial Director of Burda Publishing House). Some two million dollars was invested into the magazine which is expected to pay back in 2007. RBC intends to recover its costs within the next year and a half. The magazine's main sources of income are advertising and subscriptions.
