RBC TV turns three
On September 1, RBC TV channel turned three, and celebrated its third anniversary and the start of a new business year at Gostiny Dvor where all the most renowned representatives of the business elite were mustered. Among those who came to offer their congratulations to the channel were First Deputy Chairperson of the Central Bank of Russia Tatiana Paramonova, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Yakovenko, Deputy Head of the Federal Nature Management Supervision Service Oleg Mitvol, Governor of the Tver region Dmitry Zelenin, member of the State Duma Committee for Credit Organizations and Financial Markets Vladimir Tarachev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wimm-Bill-Dann David Yakobashvili, distinguished Russian lawyers Pavel Astakhov and Mikhail Barshchevsky and many others of no less influence and authority. The prominent designer Vyacheslav Zaytsev compared RBC TV to a heavenly gift, just a fleeting contact with which is auspicious, and TV presenter Pyotr Fadeyev as a spokesman for a competitor's channel confessed "RBC TV has proven its worth and it pleases me to realize that Russia has such a TV channel." RBC held a splendid anniversary celebration sparing no expense on the fountains of champagne, stilt-walking clowns, presents, exquisite snacks and luxurious cars shows (a new generation Audi Coupe TT was on display in Gostiny Dvor). RBC TV received greetings telegrams from Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vladislav Surkov and Speaker of the Council of Federation Sergei Mironov which were read out loud to the guests of the ceremony. The party closed on a gala dinner and a performance given by Sergey Mazayev and VTP JAZZ ORCHESTRA of the Ivanov brothers.
