Winners of the annual national business prize Company of the year, founded by RIA RosBusinessConsulting, received their awards yesterday. The prizes in the “Finances” category were won by the Russian Bank for Development (Bank of the Year), PIOGLOBAL Asset Management (Trust Company of the Year), Aton Capital (Investment Company of the Year) and Rosgosstrakh (Insurance Company of the Year). The winners in the industrial sector were Gazprom (The Fuel and Energy Industries), Transmashholding (Machine-Building), Severstal (The Metal Industry), Transaero (Transport), The Sukhoi aviation holding company (The Defense Industry), SpetsVysotStroi (The Construction Industry), AlterWEST Group (The Food Industry). The laureates in the “Services” category were: Prado Group (Business Services), the NTV-Plus satellite TV company (Consumer Services), Russian Railways (Logistics and Cargo Transportation), TransTeleCom (Telecommunications), KAMAZ-LEASING (Leasing Company of the Year), Euroset (Retail Network) and Ulei Catering (Catering). The winners in the special categories were LUKoil (Business Reputation), MTS (Investment Attractiveness), the Snezhnaya Koroleva chain of stores (Fastest Developing Company), East Line Group (for building the best transport center in Russia), Kaspersky Lab (Leader of the Industry), and Barshchevskiy and Partners law firm (for efforts to provide legal protection for Russian business). The Company of the Year prize has been awarded to the most successful companies on the Russian market since 1999.
