On Wednesday, October 29, the cultural and entertainment center Radius Hall hosted the award ceremony in the national business award "Company of the Year 2003." The award's nominations were grouped into three main categories: Manufacturing, Finance and Services. In addition, companies were awarded for nominations in special categories. The "Company of the Year" award was organized by RosBusinessConsulting. The expert council that this news agency guided and that consisted of prominent government and public figures, representatives of Russian business elite, domestic and foreign mass media, chose nominees from the largest domestic companies. Among companies awarded in the Manufacturing category were RAO UES of Russia and Wimm-Bill-Dann. The trading networks Perekriostok and Ramstore were awarded in the category Services, and Yarpivo brewery and CSKA received awards in special nominations. However, the Finance category and its nomination Bank of the Year drew the most attention from businessmen. Bank of Moscow was the winner in this nomination, and the certificate of the winner was presented to Bank of Moscow Senior Vice President Dmitry Akulinin by Tatyana Paramonova, the Senior Deputy Chairman of the Russian Central Bank.
