Literaturnaya gazeta (Moscow) - April 6, 2005
And have you seen?
RBC TV has been broadcasting for a long time but not very noticeably. At first sight, this TV channel is a specific one, a Russian business channel. If one switches on the TV, one can see highbrow experts deliberating on funds, shares and equity markets. One would think, why should the population's grassroots be interested in overcomplicated indices and percentages? But one should consider the prudent and competent opinions of those who are not engaged in political games. Figures, which seem gimmicky at first sight, can reveal a lot. Through the understanding of a country's economic health one can understand political and social processes taking place in the country. The TV channel provides viewers with abundant information. It does not lack near-real-time news either: political, social and sports. Is it unusual? Maybe, but it seems very worthy against others which are trying only to amuse.
