Yury A. Rovensky, the general director and chairman of the Executive Board of RBC Information Systems JSC. Mr. Rovensky was born in 1969 in Armavir. Yury Rovensky is not married and has no children. Hobbies: painting, landscape design. After finishing school in 1987, Yury Rovensky entered the Plekhanov Institute of Economy in Moscow (the Department of Commerce). The theme of Mr. Rovensky's degree thesis was "Assessment of Efficiency of Investment Projects with Regard to the Factor of Time." During studies at the institute, Mr. Rovensky completed a course of business studies at Harvard School of Business under the "Marketing and Finances" program (1989-1990). After graduation, Mr. Rovensky was appointed as assistant to the chancellor of the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, where he dealt with monitoring and analysis of the international market of business education. Since 1992, Mr. Rovensky had been an instructor and assistant professor at the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, where he conducted research work, delivered lectures and developed international cooperation. In 1997, Mr. Rovensky became a deputy director of the Institute of Engineering and Economic Research, where he dealt with strategic planning and development of prospective research fields. In 1999-2000, Mr. Rovensky was an advisor to the chairman of the State Investment Corporation, where he was responsible for the examination of investment projects. Since 2000, Mr. Rovensky has been the general director and chairman of the Executive Board of RBC Information Systems JSC, where he has been dealing with the preparation and implementation of the company's development strategy. Mr. Rovensky has a Doctorate degree in economics, and he is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Economic Sciences and Entrepreneurial Activities.
