On February 24, Russian information agency RosBusinessConsulting held an award ceremony for Person of the Year prizewinners in the Kremlin. The winners were named by a council of experts judging on the following criteria: professional qualities of the contenders and their contribution to scientific and technical progress. This year, the Grand Prix award was given to Gennady Fadeyev, president of Russian Railways.
