RBC confirms anekdot.ru deal

Yesterday General Director of RosBusinessConsulting Yury Rovensky confirmed the acquisition of one of the oldest and most popular websites in Russia "Anecdotes from Russia" (www.anekdot.ru) in an interview with Kommersant. Mr. Rovensky specified that the deal had been completed in mid-January and had made not only the domain www.anekdot.ru but also the website's content RBC's property. As reported earlier, the deal that had been discussed by market players for months was tied up because RBC couldn't come to an agreement with the website content owner Dmitry Verner. He didn't own the domain name and RBC purchased it without Mr. Verner's approval. Yesterday Mr. Rovensky informed that the issue had been settled. RBC doesn't officially disclose the sum of transaction, but market players estimate it at $0.6-1m.
