RBC presents online stock trade simulator

RBC releases Portfolio (http://portfolio.rbc.ru), a new training system for those who are interested in learning the art of playing the market with the help of real share prices taken as an example. Anyone can give it a try on the RBC web site and create his own virtual investment portfolio. The new system allows for 'selling' and 'buying' shares and government securities on the RTS, the MSE and MICEX in real time as well as using all necessary market information. In order to have Portfolio up and running, you only need a computer with Internet access.

RTS and MSE quotes arrive with a 15-minute delay, and MICEX quotes are provided with a 30-minute delay.

Portfolio enables you to do the following:

  • 'buy' and 'sell' securities at the current market prices;
  • create several virtual investment portfolios;
  • add various stock indices to your portfolio (such as RBC Composite, RTS, MICEX);
  • receive information about changes in stock prices and the value of virtual portfolios;
  • browse news by issuer (for share trade);
  • set up alerts that will inform you about important events on the market;
  • browse the history of deals and the current balance of your virtual portfolio(s);
  • convert parameters of your portfolio into various currencies (the currency of trade, rubles, dollars).

"The Portfolio training system, which joined the family of RBC-developed financial products, combines functionality and convenience of use. Therefore we have every reason to believe that it will be as popular among RBC's clients as our previous solutions RBC Graph, financial games and others. It is also important that the new RBC product will be publicly available. We are planning to release a number of new web-based financial products, which will measure up to market requirements," said RBC First Deputy General Director Artyom Inyutin.
