On September 2, 2003, RBC Information Systems launched the first TV channel for businessmen in Russia, RBC TV. The channel is aimed at the daily coverage of the situation on Russian and international financial markets. The new television features economic, financial and political news from Russia and abroad along with analytical reviews, forecasts, expert commentaries and special programs devoted to topical problems in Russian businesses.

RBC TV will broadcast via satellite channels (NTV-plus and Kosmos-TV), cable networks (Comcor-TV and Divo-TV), cable and terrestrial systems, regional broadcasting companies and on the Internet. The new television channel will be absolutely free for its viewers. The channel's programming will consist, in particular, of news programs aired every 30 minutes (at the beginning and in the middle of every hour), the Markets program, broadcasted once an hour and devoted to all segments of the market. This program will also include three minutes of corporate news. The video broadcasting is accompanied by real-time crawlers consisting of a news-line crawler and crawlers with stock, commodity and currency quotes.

CNBC Europe and CNN International have signed contracts with RBC TV and they are going to broadcast their own programs on the new Russian TV channel. Programs produced by the European business television channel CNBC Europe to be broadcasted on RBC TV will include programs spotlighting events on European, Asian and US markets, analysis of these events and 30-minute feature programs on business issues. In its turn, CNN programs on RBC TV will consist of live reports and programs covering international news and current events produced by 39 CNN offices located all over the world.
