Oleg Levchenko, the general director of the Talvis Joint-Stock Company, received a Person of the Year national award. This public award is given to outstanding people of the country: politicians, entrepreneurs, academics, and intellectuals. Person of the Year awards were earlier given to such people as Sergey Mironov, German Gref, Yevgeny Primakov. Alexander Voloshin, Yury Bashmet, Vladimir Pozner became the laureates of the award this year. Oleg Levchenko was given the award for efficient management of the company, its successful modernization, and high quality of products. Talvis plans to increase its volume of production by 1.5 times this year. Over $3m have been invested in the development of production. The reputation of alcohol produced in Tambov is so good now, that Russkiy Standart premium-class vodka is made on its basis. The company's short-term plans include creation of its own beverage brand of this class and offering it on the international market. The Person of the Year annual national award was founded by the RosBusinessConsulting Russian Information Agency.
