Zarubezhneft grabs blocking stakes in two gas companies
RBC, 27.01.2012, Moscow 12:27:12.State-owned oil and gas company Zarubezhneft has signed an agreement of intent to purchase blocking stakes in two natural gas companies from uncut diamond monopoly Alrosa, Zarubezhneft said in a statement. Zarubezhneft intends to purchase a 25% stake plus one share in Geotransgaz and a 26% stake in Urengoi Gas Company, several sources close to the talks said. Alrosa is expected to buy back these companies from bank VTB under a repo deal for $1bn.
