MMK ramps up steel output in 2011
RBC, 27.01.2012, Moscow 12:18:34.MMK's steel output increased 7% year-on-year to 12.18m tons in 2011, one of the world's leading steel producers said in a statement today. In the fourth quarter, steel production dropped 2% to 3.11m tons compared to the previous quarter. Cast iron output went up 3% to 9.50m tons and commercial metal product output climbed 4% to 10.65m tons in 2011. Exports rose 8% to 3.47m tons and domestic sales were up 2% to 7.18m tons.
