Russia, Ukraine to sign program on economic cooperation
RBC, 29.11.2010, Moscow 17:50:58.Ukraine and Russia are set to sign a program on economic cooperation for the period up until 2020 in the second quarter of 2011, Ukrainian Deputy Economy Minister Valery Muntiyan said at a meeting of the intergovernmental committee on Russia-Ukraine cooperation. The document will cover two stages: 2011-2016 and 2016-2020, and address a wide range of issues, namely, priorities, trends and risks. Muntiyan also indicated that the program might include 19 joint projects costing a total of $48bn. "All the projects are subject to tough scrutiny. For now, only 19 projects have been selected," he added. Trade between Russia and Ukraine jumped 72.5 percent to $29bn in the first nine months of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.
