Early September inflation goes up 0.2%
RBC, 08.09.2010, Moscow 17:40:13.Russia's inflation amounted to 0.2 percent between August 31 and September 6, 2010, to 0.2 for the month-to-date, and to 5.6 percent since the beginning of the year, the Russian Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported today. In September of last year, inflation stood at 0, and at 8.1 percent for the period since the beginning of the year. In the reporting period, prices on eggs surged 13.7 percent, and 8.7 percent on buckwheat. Prices on wheat flour and wheat, sugar, and oil climbed 1.1-1.53 percent. Milk, sour cream and butter prices inched up 1.1-1.3 percent. Similarly, fruit and vegetable prices added 0.2 percent on average. Car gasoline prices went up 0.1 percent, and diesel fuel prices remained virtually unchanged.
