Federal target programs financing to be hiked up
RBC, 29.07.2010, Moscow 13:52:22.As Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced today at the government presidium meeting, the financing of federal target programs will be boosted 19.2 percent to RUB 981bn (approx. USD 32.47bn) in 2011. The prime minister specified that several new programs would be launched next year. Specifically, the construction of the Vostochny space launch complex with the financing in the amount of RUB 3.5bn (approx. USD 116m). Among other projects is support of the pharmaceutical industry, development of inbound tourism, information society, mechanical engineering, to name just a few. The government also plans to spend about RUB 1bn (approx. USD 33.1m) on the protection of the Lake Baikal. Putin also indicated that the Economy Ministry must draft and present all corresponding projects to the government before September 1.
