Rosatom reports on 2009 investment program fulfillment
RBC, 18.03.2010, Volgodonsk 18:33:59.The Russian atomic energy state corporation Rosatom's investment program was fulfilled by 104 percent in 2009, the corporation's chief Sergei Kiriyenko announced at today's meeting on the nuclear energy industry chaired by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in Volgodonsk. Kiriyenko reiterated that Rosatom's investment program amounted to RUB 172bn (approx. USD 5.89bn), 71 percent of which was allocated for the construction of new nuclear power facilities. He added that three new plants were launched last year, and five plants were expected to start operating in 2010. This year's investment program stands at RUB 175bn (approx. USD 5.99bn).
