Russia's inflation under control
RBC, 11.03.2010, Moscow 16:51:06.Russia's inflation stood at 0.2 percent between March 2 and 9, and at 2.7 percent for the year to date, the Russian Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) announced today. In 2009, inflation in early March amounted to 0.4 percent, while it was at 1.3 percent for the full month and 4.5 percent since the beginning of the year. Last week, eggs accounted for the highest rise - 2.3 percent. Buckwheat and cheese rose between 0.6 and 1.6 percent. At the same time, margarine, sugar and poultry slid 0.1-0.3 percent. Fruit and vegetable prices added 1.1 percent on average. Car gasoline prices edged up 0.1 percent, while the price for diesel fuel remained unchanged.
