Russia hopes to see improved relations with Ukraine
RBC, 09.02.2010, Moscow 18:21:04.Ukrainians have cast their votes and the majority of voters indicated that they were looking for change, the Russian Foreign Ministry's information and media department said on the results of the second round of the presidential election in Ukraine. The department expressed hope that the new administration of "friendly Ukraine will be able to fully realize the actual hopes and expectations of our nations, and promote a full-scale development of truly friendly Russian-Ukrainian relations." The department also indicated that the elections were open, and they complied with both the country's legislation and the general international standards. This has also been confirmed by many international observers.
