Aeroflot boasts net profit for 2009
RBC, 09.02.2010, Moscow 11:39:22.Aeroflot - Russian Airlines registered net profit in 2009, the company's General Director Vitaly Savelyev told journalists on Monday. He stated that only two air carriers in the world received net profit for last year, and Aeroflot was one of them. Savelyev also noted that the company cut its expenditures by $859m in May-June 2009. Furthermore, thanks to the opening of the new terminal, the company was able to retain its staff and laid off only 2,100 employees instead of the planned 2,300.
