According to Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister Lazar, the work on drafting the plan will begin today. Meanwhile, Moldova's debt restructuring will be discussed during a meeting between Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat and Gazprom's VP and Chairman of Moldovagaz Compliance Committee Valery Golubev. The parties are expected to reach an agreement on the settlement of Moldovagaz's existing debt and the transfer of current payments for Russian gas. Chairman of the Moldovan-Russian company Moldovagaz Alexander Gusev told RBC that the republic's total debt for gas, including the Transnistria region's debt, currently exceeded $2.3bn, and, due to a huge gap between the purchase and sale prices, was continuing to rise.
