Medvedev to attend 20th anniversary of Berlin Wall's fall
RBC, 29.10.2009, Moscow 17:59:14.Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is set to embark on an official visit to Germany at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, where he will participate in high-level events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Russian leader's press office reported today. The anniversary will be marked by the demolition of a new 'wall' in Germany's capital, Berlin. The event will take place on November 9 near the Brandenburg Gate, and it will be attended by the leaders of various countries, politicians, musicians, residents of Berlin and its visitors. Aside from Medvedev, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were also invited to attend the celebration.
