Russian, Chinese transportation ministries sign cooperation deal
RBC, 26.10.2009, Moscow 17:55:39.Transportation Ministers of Russia and China Igor Levitin and Shenglin Li have signed a memorandum on cooperation between the two ministries, the Russian government body announced today. According to the document, the "parties are poised to promote and expand cooperation in the transportation sector. Russia and China will implement joint projects in the sphere of road construction, as well as promote the development of roads that are part of international transportation corridors." The parties will also exchange information on the drafting and passing of legal acts regarding the public road system. The two countries are also planning to work together on the development of navigation on rivers along the border, as well as on preventing environmental pollution.
