Vnesheconombank to extend loans to small businesses
RBC, 25.03.2009, Moscow 13:01:58.Vnesheconombank is likely to extend loans worth a total of RUB 60bn (approx. USD 1.8bn) to small businesses in 2009, the bank's Chairman Vladimir Dmitriyev said during today's Russian banking conference in Moscow. He indicated that this sum could be provided not only by Vnesheconombank itself, but also through its subsidiaries, such as Sviaz-bank and Globexbank, among others. Vnesheconombank has also suggested purchasing the debt portfolios of small and medium-sized enterprises.
