Russia sees fixed investment dwindle
RBC, 21.11.2008, Moscow 15:25:01.Russia's total fixed investment shrank 1.9 percent in October 2008 compared with the previous month, and demonstrated a 6.9-percent contraction year-on-year. In absolute terms, fixed investment reached RUB 829.5bn (approx. USD 30.09bn), the Federal State Statistics Service indicated in a survey. Over the first 10 months of 2008, it grew 12.3 percent. As reported earlier, in September 2008, fixed investment expanded 11.8 percent compared with August 2008, and in the first half of 2008 the figure grew 16.9 percent to RUB 774.8bn (approx. USD 28.10bn).
