Russian finance minister expects Dow Jones to decline
RBC, 01.10.2008, Moscow 11:21:23.Alexei Kudrin, Russia's first deputy PM and finance minister, expects the Dow Jones index to decline further, as he told a financial conference in Moscow today. He reiterated that the Dow Jones stood at 7,700 points at the beginning of the U.S. recession in 2000, whereas now it reached 10,000 points. If the U.S. economy is at the beginning of a new recession, the minister said, the index will continue falling.
