RBC, 20.08.2008, Moscow 14:44:44.Russia's Defense Ministry is planning to carefully monitor the actions of the NATO-Georgia commission, deputy chief of the Russian General Staff Anatoly Nagovitsyn told journalists today. He pointed out that the situation, in which the aggressor was getting a chance to recover, could result in sabotage and a new "blitzkrieg attempt". Nagovitsyn pointed out that if it became necessary military authorities would suggest to the political leaders of the country to conduct counter threat actions. Earlier today, members of the NATO have made a decision to form a NATO-Georgia commission to help Tbilisi. The commission's goal is to oversee the situation in the region, help liquidate the damages inflicted by military actions, as well as restore facilities.
