KAMAZ posts decrease in net profit
RBC, 13.08.2008, Naberezhnye Chelny 16:11:37.The net profit of KAMAZ under RAS shrank 35.5 percent to RUB 2.634bn (approx. USD 108m) in the first half of 2008 compared to the corresponding period of 2007, the Russian truck manufacturer reported today. Meanwhile, the company's net profit stood at RUB 1.313bn (approx. USD 54m) in the first quarter of 2008 and RUB 1.321bn (approx. USD 54.2m) in Q2 2008. Revenue climbed 25.6 percent to nearly RUB 50.448bn (approx. USD 2.07bn), while gross profit went down 6.17 percent to RUB 6.483bn (approx. USD 266m). Sales profit dropped 22.4 percent to RUB 3.672bn (approx. USD 151m). Truck sales increased more than 15 percent to 27,800 units in H1 2008.
