Russia's Foreign Minister urges world to take new look at conflict
RBC, 12.08.2008, Moscow 14:58:48.The international community should assess and take a new look at the situation in South Ossetia, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told journalists today during a joint press conference with his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb. He stressed that Russia would meet its commitments to complete its peacekeeping operation in South Ossetia and create conditions ensuring that such a scenario could not be repeated. Lavrov said that Russia reckoned that its international partners would join the effort, noting that Alexander Stubb as a representative of the country currently holding the OSCE presidency was willing to contribute to the creation of such conditions once military operations are over.
