Russia's envoy to NATO on Germany's plan for Abkhazia
RBC, 18.07.2008, Moscow 17:47:03.Russia's envoy to NATO Dmitry Rogozin is not thrilled with Germany's new plan on the settlement of a conflict between Georgia and Abkhazia, as it provides for contradictory actions, the Echo of Moscow reported today. The Russian diplomat does, however, find German Foreign Ministry's proposal to be useful, explaining that if the proposed steps are taken at different times, the plan can work out. Rogozin believes that first of all, the parties have to completely rule out the possibility of a military means of settling the conflict, and only after that to bring back refugees to Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
