Russia and Kazakhstan to hold military exercises
RBC, 14.07.2008, Moscow 13:45:47.Russia and Kazakhstan have agreed to hold joint military exercises between 2009 and 2011, a protocol on the results of a working meeting between Russian and Kazakh Defense Ministers in Moscow. The ministers have already commissioned Russia's General Staff and Kazakhstan's Committee of Chiefs of Staff to draft suggestions on the timeframe and the place for joint military exercises before September 1, 2008. The Ministers have expressed assurance that the upcoming tactical exercise in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia would promote further working-out a single approach to ensuring security of the two countries.
