Ukraine to be reliable partner for Russia
RBC, 16.05.2008, Kiev 14:58:20.As a full member of the Euro-Atlantic community, Ukraine will always be among Russia's most reliable partners, the country's President Viktor Yushchenko's address to the Supreme Rada, published today, states. Originally, he planned to make this announcement on Tuesday, when Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko's faction blocked access to the parliamentary tribune. Yushchenko noted that Ukraine was ready to develop friendly and mutually beneficial relations with Russia on an equal basis and that existing differences could be easily resolved. Meanwhile, Ukraine's leader named joining NATO's Membership Action Plan as one of the country's most important goals for the near future.
