Putin flays Economy Ministry's innovative development plan
RBC, 15.05.2008, Moscow 14:56:13.The forecast for a rise in the share of innovative products in the Russian economy is unreasonably low, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said today at the opening of a cabinet meeting on scenarios of the country's social and economic development in 2009-2011. Putin stressed that Russia had no alternative but to boost innovative development. He criticized the Economy Ministry's forecast, adding that Russia needed more ambitious targets than those indicated in the document.
