TransTeleCom posts increase in annual net profit
RBC, 15.05.2008, Moscow 12:59:14.TransTeleCom's net profit under IFRS stood at RUB 2.539bn (approx. USD 106m) in 2007, 17 percent higher than a year earlier, the Russian telecommunications company's press office reported today. Revenue rose 38 percent to RUB 24.5bn (approx. USD 1.03bn). Specifically, revenue from communications services, accounting for most of the amount, went up 10.2 percent to RUB 14bn (approx. USD 586m). Meanwhile, Internet traffic provided by TransTeleCom more than tripled in 2007. According to the company's estimate, its share on the domestic and international private line markets amounts to 38 percent and 18 percent, respectively.
