Putin poised to cooperate with legislative power
RBC, 08.05.2008, Moscow 12:30:04.The government can only be efficient if it can rely fully on the legislative power, ex-President Vladimir Putin told the State Duma today at the parliament's session where his nomination for the Prime Minister is to be considered. Putin stressed that this was the basis on which he would be building his relations with the State Duma. He noted that yesterday's consultations with Duma faction leaders revealed a general mood of cooperation. He apologized for not having held proper consultations with Duma factions, and assured the deputies they would be held later. The ex-President also noted, that it was necessary to consolidate all political forces and the public for the nation's further development.
