President's key duty is to protect Russia, Putin says
RBC, 07.05.2008, Moscow 12:54:19.Russian President Vladimir Putin considers high moral standards of state power as its highest obligation. The obligation to protect Russian has always been and remains the highest civil duty of the Russian President, he said at the inauguration ceremony of the new Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev, adding that he had been fulfilling that duty all the years of his Presidency, and would continue to do so all his life. In Putin's opinion, the morality of state power is not any less important than expertise or professional knowledge, and is the main token of people's trust.
