New Russian President sworn in
RBC, 07.05.2008, Moscow 12:25:14.Dmitry Medvedev has been sworn in as President of Russia. He has become the third Russian leader, succeeding Boris Yeltsin and Vladimir Putin. Medvedev pronounced an oath on the Russian Constitution in the Andreevsky Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace and Constitutional Court Chairman Valery Zorkin announced his official inauguration as the Russian national leader. Medvedev's inauguration ceremony took place on the last day of Vladimir Putin's second presidential term.
