Russian PM lauds transportation development program
RBC, 24.04.2008, Moscow 11:28:42.During today's cabinet meeting, Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov commended the federal target program for the development of Russia's transportation system for 2010-2015. He noted that the Transportation Ministry's suggestions corresponded with the challenges faced by the sector. According to the ministry's plans, the program provides for an increase in population mobility by a third, a 30-fold surge in passenger traffic, as well as bringing nearly all hard surface roads of national importance in line with existing standards.
