Russia-Mongolia trade to reach $1bn
RBC, 11.04.2008, Moscow 12:24:17.Annual trade between Russia and Mongolia is expected to grow to $1bn over the next few years, Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov said during a meeting with his Mongolian counterpart Sanjaa Bayar. He lauded the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, adding that trade went up 30 percent to $790m in 2007. Zubkov noted that major Russian companies needed to be involved in projects on Mongolia's territory under the program of bilateral trade and economic cooperation until 2010. He also stated that existing Russia-Mongolia joint ventures must operate more efficiently.
