Russian stocks close higher
RBC, 28.03.2008, Moscow 18:25:53.Today's session on the Russian stock ended with a rise in most traded securities. The RTS index increased 0.76 percent to 2,045.59 points, while the MICEX index edged up 0.57 percent to 1,627.87 points. On MICEX, LUKoil went up 2.29 percent and Rosneft jumped 3.12 percent. Meanwhile, RAO UES plunged 4.66 percent. Demand for oil company shares is likely to remain high next week, as Russian and foreign investors are currently interested in the sector, experts told RBC TV today. LUKoil and Rosneft look especially attractive, analysts note. On the whole, the situation on the Russian market is unclear, although its trend is expected to be defined in the middle of next week, experts say.
