LUKoil pays for stake in TGK-8
RBC, 26.03.2008, Moscow 19:23:05.LUKoil has paid RUB 24.6bn (approx. USD 1.04bn) for a 29.99-percent stake in TGK-8, the Russian oil giant indicated in a press release today. LUKoil is purchasing a total of 82.3 percent of shares in the regional power generation company. LUKoil has made the acquisition in accordance with the previous agreement with one of the companies comprising IFD Kapital financial group. LUKOIL Power Generation Ltd (the oil giant's full subsidiary), specifically founded in February 2008, is expected to manage the new assets.
